ResMed AirSense 11 Side Cover — Overview

The AirSense 11 Side Cover is the small plastic panel that occupies the humidifier compartment when the HumidAir water tub is not installed. Without the cover or the water tub in place, the AirSense 11 cannot operate correctly — one or the other must always be present. The side cover enables the machine to run in humidifier-off mode for travel, for patients who don't use humidification, or as a placeholder while waiting for a new water tub. Press-fit installation takes seconds. Turn humidification off in the My Options menu when using the side cover.

💡 Required when travelling without the humidifier: The AirSense 11 requires either the water tub or the side cover to be installed at all times. Travelling with the side cover instead of the water tub reduces machine weight and eliminates the need for distilled water.

No — the AirSense 11 requires either the water tub or the side cover to be inserted before it will operate. Without one of these, the humidifier bay is open and the machine will not run.
