The AirMini uses ResMed's HumidX waterless humidification system — a small HME cartridge that attaches between the mask and tube, capturing moisture from exhaled breath and recycling it on inhalation. There is no water chamber, no distilled water to source in a hotel, and no spillage risk when packing. This is particularly well-suited to GCC travel, where sourcing distilled water outside major cities is often unreliable, and hotel rooms with air conditioning pull indoor humidity extremely low.
One practical point: the AirMini has no screen. It is controlled entirely through the AirMini smartphone app via Bluetooth. Settings, therapy mode, EPR level, and ramp are all managed from your phone. Therapy data — sleep score, AHI, mask seal — is also visible only through the app. The app is available in the UAE and works without restrictions. However, if you prefer a machine with a physical display, the Breas Z2 (below) is the better fit.
