The Löwenstein Prisma Smart and Prisma Smart Max are premium German-manufactured CPAP and BiPAP machines used in clinical and home settings across Europe and the Middle East. Like most full-featured home therapy machines, the Prisma Smart uses a two-stage filtration approach: a washable coarse pre-filter for larger particles and a finer disposable filter for the smaller allergens and particulates that the pre-filter allows through. This paired filter listing provides both — the complete set for one full filter cycle.

The coarse pre-filter (washable) is the outer layer, capturing pollen, dust, pet hair, and larger particles at the air intake. It should be rinsed under warm water monthly and air dried completely — at least 24 hours — before reinstalling. A damp filter left in the machine creates conditions for mould and restricts airflow to the motor. Replace the coarse pre-filter every 6 months. The fine filter (disposable, not washable) adds the second stage, capturing the finer allergens, microscopic dust, and particles that pass through the foam. Replace every 4 weeks — or sooner in Dubai's dusty conditions.

Both filters must be used together and maintained on their respective schedules for the machine to provide full protection to both the motor and the therapy air.
