The defining feature of the Pilot-Flex is its auto-sensing dual-voltage output β it automatically detects whether your CPAP machine requires 12V or 24V and switches accordingly, without any settings to change. This eliminates the previous frustration of needing different batteries for different machines: one Pilot-Flex powers virtually any CPAP or BiPAP machine from ResMed, Philips Respironics, React Health, LΓΆwenstein, and others. The pack ships with the AirMini cable kit β cables for all other machines must be purchased separately. Importantly, the Pilot-Flex cables are not backward compatible with the older Pilot-Lite cables.

π‘ Maximising runtime: Turn off heated humidification and heated tubing when running on battery β these features significantly reduce runtime. If your machine has an ECO, Power Saver, or Airplane Mode, activate it for extended battery life. Disable comfort features (EPR, C-Flex, A-Flex) if runtime is a priority. For the AirMini specifically, disabling HumidX at high settings and using the lowest effective therapy pressure will extend runtime furthest.
π Piggyback two batteries: Connect the DC output cable's yellow-tipped end into the DC-out port of the first battery, and the other end into the charge port of the second battery. The last battery in the chain connects to your CPAP machine. Batteries discharge sequentially β no swapping needed. For 12V machines (DreamStation), use the DreamStation DC cable to chain. For 24V machines (AirSense 10/11), use the AirSense DC cable.

Can I use my old Pilot-Lite cables with the Pilot-Flex?

How long will it power my AirMini?
Medistrom rates the Pilot-Flex at up to 2 nights for the AirMini, or approximately 16 hours of runtime on a single charge. Actual runtime depends on therapy pressure, whether HumidX is in use, and your breathing rate. For longer trips, two Pilot-Flex batteries can be piggybacked for extended runtime without swapping.
Is the Pilot-Flex allowed on aeroplanes?
