Ideal for OSA and respiratory insufficiency patients with hypoventilation caused by restrictive thoracic disorders, obesity hypoventilation syndrome, central apnea, and COPD, DreamStation BiPAP ST is designed for both pediatric (>18 kg) and adult use. Philips Respironics BiPAP ST comes with smart algorithms which are made to adapt to patients' therapy needs, encouraging long-term use.

DreamStation BiPAP S/T offers the added security of a Spontaneous Timed mode which will initiate a breath, after a set period of time, if no patient breath is detected.

Spontaneous and Spontaneous Timed Trigger Modes

Coming with Spontaneous (S) and Spontaneous Timed Trigger (ST) Modes, the machine can be set to automatically detect and adjust to patients' needs, or to manually configure with prescribed values.

Spontaneous Mode (S): Tracks breathing cycle and provides a 3-point pressure relief from inhalation to exhalation, providing a more comfortable natural breathing experience.

Spontaneous Timed Mode (ST): Keeps the main functionality as (S) mode—decreases pressure during exhalation and increases it during inhalation—while adding Breathe Rate & Rise Time settings, enabling the machine to initiate a breath and switch from exhalation to inhalation automatically and comfortably if a natural breath is not detected within a set time frame.

Digital Auto-Trak Sensitivity

With Digital Auto-Track Sensitivity algorithm, DreamStation BiPAP ST collects breathe-by-breathe information, understands, and makes a copy of your breathing cycle pattern. Digital Auto-Trak will automatically trigger a breath when needed and adjust therapy pressure if leakage occurs in order to retain your airways open.

Automated Airway Management (AAM)

DreamStation BiPAP ST machine monitors the patient's upper airway in any ventilation mode and automatically reacts, providing the lowest bi-level pressures to treat the patient’s ventilation needs. With this feature, the user does not need to fight against the machine during exhalation, enjoying a more comfortable therapy experience.

Two Step Filtration System

The machine comes with a two-step filtration system. These ultra-fine filters provide additional filtration and block even the smallest particles.

Colored Screen

You can easily set up your DreamStation BiPAP ST machine through its colored screen, via a very user-friendly environment. On the same screen, you will get your daily reports and feedback about your therapy, AHI, leak events, and more.

Built-In Bluetooth and SD Card

The machine comes with built-in Bluetooth to automatically connect with DreamMapper. DreamMapper app, available for both Android and Apple devices, monitors all the critical parameters of your therapy, like AHI, leak, and total therapy time. If you do not have a compatible smart device, you can instead insert an SD Card, which can be used to transfer data to a computer and connect to the DreamMapper website. Please note: DreamMapper is not available in all countries.

Advanced Humidification System (Optional)

The DreamStation Heated Humidifier connects directly to the DreamStation BiPAP ST machine and looks like one device. It comes with dry-box technology, ensuring that no water will pass from the humidifier to the machine. The humidifier adds humidity to your therapy air, eliminating negative therapy side effects like dry nostrils and mouth, adding extra comfort to your therapy. The heat and moisture level can be set either to Standard (fixed levels) or to Adaptive (auto-adjust heat and moisture levels).

Heated Tube (Optional)

With the DreamStation Heated Tube, you will eliminate any Rainout effects caused in the CPAP hose from the difference between therapy air temperature and room temperature. If the humidifier is not in use, the DreamStation Heated Tube will not heat either and will function as a standard CPAP hose.
