Philips Respironics HT-12 Tube
Philips Respironics HT-12 Tube
The Philips Respironics HT-12 Micro-Flexible Heated Tube is the lightest, slimmest heated tube ever made by Philips — a 12mm diameter micro-flex hose for the DreamStation 2 (and DreamStation 1 with included adapter). At 12mm, it produces virtually zero drag on the mask, making it ideal for active sleepers and those sensitive to any hose weight or resistance. Secure-click mechanism at the machine end locks firmly but detaches one-handed. Same 0–5 heat settings as the HT-15, adjusted from the DreamStation 2 settings menu. Includes PR12 mask adapter for universal 22mm mask compatibility. Important: manually select "12mm" tube mode in the DreamStation 2 operating menu — the machine does not auto-detect this tube. Not compatible with DreamStation GO. Requires heated humidifier to heat. Replace every 6 months. Model: HT12.

Philips Respironics HT-12 Micro-Flexible Heated Tube — Overview
The Philips Respironics HT-12 is the most advanced and slimmest heated tube ever made by Philips — a 12mm micro-flexible heated hose designed for the DreamStation 2 that sets a new benchmark for CPAP tubing comfort. At 12mm inner diameter, it is thinner, lighter, and more flexible than any previous DreamStation tube, producing so little drag on the mask that many users report barely being aware of the hose during sleep. A secure-click mechanism at the machine end locks the tube firmly in place while still allowing one-handed detachment, preventing the accidental disconnections that can occur with push-fit connections on conventional tubes.
The HT-12 heats exactly like the HT-15 — 0 to 5 heat settings adjusted from the DreamStation 2 menu, with the heated element maintaining tube temperature from the humidifier to the mask and preventing the condensation that pools inside unheated or insufficiently heated tubes in cold rooms. The critical difference from the HT-15 is the machine-end connector: the HT-12 includes a PR12 mask adapter that enables it to work with all standard CPAP masks despite the narrower hose diameter. A compatibility adapter is also included for DreamStation 1 users.
Important: when using the HT-12, the DreamStation 2 must be set to "12mm" tube mode in the operating menu — the machine cannot auto-detect the 12mm tube as it does with the 15mm HT-15. Failing to do this will result in incorrect pressure delivery at the mask. Compatible with DreamStation 2 as the primary use case; DreamStation 1 with the included adapter. Not compatible with DreamStation GO. Replace every 6 months.

Frequently Asked Questions
Does this fit the DreamStation 1?
Yes — an adapter for DreamStation 1 is included in the package. The DreamStation 2 is the primary use case but DreamStation 1 users can use the HT-12 with the adapter.
How is the HT-12 different from the HT-15?
The HT-12 is 12mm inner diameter versus 15mm for the HT-15 — making it lighter, more flexible, and producing less mask drag. Both have the same 0–5 heat settings. The HT-12 requires a manual machine setting change to 12mm mode, whereas the DreamStation auto-detects the HT-15 at 15mm. The HT-12 also includes a mask adapter; the HT-15 uses direct 22mm cuffs.
Will I notice a difference in comfort over the HT-15?
Most patients who switch to the HT-12 report a noticeable reduction in hose awareness — the combination of lower weight and greater flexibility makes the tube feel almost absent during sleep. It is particularly beneficial for active sleepers who change positions frequently.
Do I need to change my humidification settings?
No specific changes are required beyond selecting 12mm tube mode on the machine. Your humidification level and tube heat settings can remain at their current values.
