Philips Respironics HT-15 Heated Tube — Overview
The Philips Respironics HT-15 is the genuine 15mm heated tube for DreamStation and DreamStation 2 CPAP and BiPAP machines — the primary comfort upgrade for DreamStation users experiencing rainout or temperature discomfort during therapy. Where the standard PR-15 non-heated tube delivers air at whatever temperature it happens to be after travelling through the hose, the HT-15 maintains a consistent temperature from the humidifier to the mask by warming the hose walls electrically throughout its length, preventing the condensation that forms when warm humid air cools inside an uninsulated tube.
The tube connects to the DreamStation's heated humidifier outlet and integrates with the machine's humidification control system. Temperature is adjustable from 0 to 5 (approximately 16°C to 30°C / 60°F to 86°F) directly from the DreamStation or DreamStation 2 settings menu. Setting 0 provides no additional heat — the tube can be used connected to the machine without the humidifier, but will not heat without a connected, active humidifier. When connected to the DreamStation with heated humidifier, the machine automatically configures the tube diameter to 15mm — this cannot be manually changed when a heated tube is attached.
Compatible with all DreamStation 1 variants and DreamStation 2, plus System One 60 Series machines. Not compatible with DreamStation GO travel machine. At 72 inches (6ft) long with 15mm inner diameter and 22mm cuff ends, it connects to all standard CPAP masks from any manufacturer. Hand wash weekly with mild soap and warm water — air dry completely. Replace every 6–12 months.

⚠️ DreamStation GO not compatible. The HT-15 requires the DreamStation humidifier to heat — it will not heat when connected without the humidifier active. Ensure machine is set to 15mm tube mode when using this tube.
🇦🇪 UAE tip: In Dubai's air-conditioned bedrooms, the temperature differential between humidified therapy air and the room is significant — making rainout common for DreamStation users with a non-heated tube. The HT-15 is the definitive solution and the most impactful single upgrade for DreamStation therapy comfort. Start with temperature setting 3–4 and adjust based on comfort.
Frequently Asked Questions
What temperature settings should I use?
Most DreamStation users find settings 3–4 comfortable as a starting point. In a cold air-conditioned room, start at 4 and increase to 5 if rainout persists. Setting 0 turns off tube heating while keeping the tube connected.
Does this fit the DreamStation 2?
Yes — the HT-15 (model 1144267 power cord variant) is compatible with both DreamStation 1 (white) and DreamStation 2 (black) machines. The same tube works across both generations.
Can I use this without the humidifier?
You can connect the HT-15 directly to the machine without the humidifier, but in this configuration it will not heat — it functions as a non-heated 15mm tube. Heating only occurs when the humidifier is connected and active with water in the chamber.
What is the difference between HT-15 and HT-12?
The HT-15 is 15mm diameter and compatible with both DreamStation 1 and DreamStation 2. The HT-12 is 12mm diameter — the slimmest and lightest heated tube Philips makes, designed primarily for DreamStation 2. Both have the same 0–5 temperature settings and 6ft length.
