The ResMed AirFit N30i & P30i Replacement Headgear is the genuine soft fabric headgear for two of ResMed's most popular top-of-head tube masks โ the AirFit N30i nasal cradle mask and the AirFit P30i nasal pillow mask. Because both masks share the same SpringFit frame and top-of-head connection system, they also share the same headgear. One replacement covers both, making it especially convenient for patients who switch between nasal cradle and nasal pillow cushions on the same frame.
Unlike the F20 and N20 headgear families, the N30i/P30i headgear uses a Velcro slip-on design with no magnetic components โ making it one of the best headgear options for patients with pacemakers, cochlear implants, or other active medical implants where magnetic clips are contraindicated. The top-of-head tube routing keeps air tubing completely clear of the face, ideal for side sleepers, stomach sleepers, and anyone who tends to move during the night.
Over time, the headgear's elastic fibres lose tension from nightly wear and regular washing, causing the mask to gradually loosen from its optimally fitted position. Patients typically compensate by tightening the Velcro tabs further โ creating discomfort, strap marks, and paradoxically worsening the seal as over-tension distorts the cushion shape.
