ResMed AirSense 10/9 Filters - 4 Pack
ResMed AirSense 10/9 Filters - 4 Pack
The ResMed AirSense 10/S9 Disposable Ultra-Fine Filters (4-Pack) are genuine disposable hypoallergenic replacement filters for AirSense 10, AirCurve 10, AirStart 10, and S9 series CPAP and BiPAP machines. These are the fine particle filters — not the reusable grey pollen/foam filter that also fits these machines. Replace every 4 weeks — do not wash or reuse. In Dubai's dusty conditions, inspect and replace more frequently as needed. Pack of 4 provides approximately 8 weeks supply. The AirSense 10 also uses a separate reusable pollen filter (sold separately) — both should be maintained together.

Understanding the AirSense 10 / S9 Filter System
The AirSense 10, AirCurve 10, AirStart 10, and S9 use a single-filter system — just this one disposable ultra-fine filter at the air intake. Unlike the DreamStation machines which use a two-filter stacked arrangement, ResMed's S9 and Air10 series relies on one well-engineered filter to do the full job. The hypoallergenic variant traps over 98% of airborne particles as small as 7–8 microns, while the standard filter captures more than 75% of particles at 7 microns. These ultra-fine disposable filters use a tighter synthetic fibre weave than the standard foam filters — ideal for allergy sufferers, pet owners, and anyone in a dusty environment such as Dubai.
The filter sits in the intake chamber on the left side panel of the machine. It is the first point of contact for all room air before it reaches the motor, the humidifier, and ultimately your breathing circuit. A clogged or dirty filter can significantly reduce air quality, compromise therapy effectiveness, and potentially lead to machine overheating or malfunction. Most CPAP users significantly underestimate how quickly filters load in real-world conditions — especially with pets, carpets, or air conditioning that recirculates indoor air. Visible greyness on the filter surface is a lagging indicator; by the time a filter looks dirty, it has already been restricting airflow for some time.
Installation takes 30 seconds: locate the filter cover on the lower left panel, slide it open, remove the old filter, insert the new one with the smooth side facing inward, and close the cover. The machine does not prompt you to change the filter — this is a manual maintenance task. Setting a monthly calendar reminder is the most reliable way to stay on schedule.
Do I need a reusable pollen filter as well for my AirSense 10?
No — the AirSense 10, AirCurve 10, and S9 series use a single disposable filter only. There is no separate reusable foam or pollen filter for these machines. One filter, one slot. This is different from the DreamStation 1 and 2 which use a two-filter stacked system.
Standard vs hypoallergenic — which should I choose?
The hypoallergenic (ultra-fine) filter is the better choice for most patients in Dubai. It captures a significantly higher percentage of fine particles including allergens and microscopic dust — relevant in a city with high ambient particulate levels. The standard filter is coarser and captures larger particles only.
