The ResMed F20 UltraSoft Memory Foam Cushion is the genuine replacement foam cushion for the AirTouch F20 full face masks. It uses the same UltraSoft memory foam technology as the cushion supplied with a new AirTouch F20 — moulds to the unique contours of each patient's face for a personalised, breathable seal that is noticeably softer than silicone. Compatible with both the AirTouch F20 and AirFit F20 frames in Small, Medium, and Large sizes.
Unlike silicone cushions which press against the face, memory foam conforms to facial contours with minimal force — reducing pressure marks and skin irritation during long nightly use. The foam is also breathable, allowing excess heat and moisture to escape rather than building up at the sealing surface. Because foam degrades with use — clean daily with alcohol-free mask wipes only.

When to Replace
- The foam feels harder or less pliable than when new

⚠️ Do NOT wash with water: The UltraSoft memory foam cushion must not be washed with water — water damages the foam structure and significantly reduces cushion life and seal performance. Clean daily with alcohol-free CPAP mask wipes only. Replace every 3 months regardless of appearance. Over-tightening the headgear collapses the foam and reduces both comfort and seal quality — wear loosely.

Why does the foam cushion need replacing every 3 months when silicone lasts 3–6 months?

Unlike silicone which can be washed and partially restored, foam cannot be cleaned with water — daily wiping with alcohol-free wipes is the only maintenance option, making monthly replacement essential for consistent performance.
Can I use this foam cushion on my AirFit F20 frame?
Yes — the foam cushion fits both the AirFit F20 and AirTouch F20 frames interchangeably. If you have an AirFit F20 and want to try the foam seal without buying a new mask, simply purchase this cushion and swap it onto your existing frame. You can switch back to the silicone cushion at any time.
Should headgear be worn tightly with the foam cushion?
No — the foam cushion should be worn with looser headgear than you would use with a silicone cushion. Memory foam requires less contact force to create a seal, and over-tightening collapses the foam structure — reducing both comfort and seal quality. If you experience leaks, the solution is usually to reposition the mask rather than tighten the headgear.
