The Breas PowerShell with Extended Life Battery Module is the world's first fully integrated CPAP battery system โ a purpose-built cradle that transforms the Breas Z1 or Z2 travel CPAP into a completely self-powered, cord-free therapy device. Rather than connecting an external battery pack via cable, the PowerShell integrates the machine and battery into a single unified unit: the Z1 or Z2 slides and clicks into the upper slot, the Extended Life Battery module clicks into the lower slot, and the whole assembly is secured in a padded neoprene outer shell. The result is the smallest and lightest self-powered CPAP system available โ compact enough to hold in one hand, with a lanyard included for hanging in a tent, from a headboard, or anywhere convenient.
The Extended Life Battery included in this pack delivers twice the capacity of the original Breas overnight battery. Bench testing confirms 8.9 hours of runtime at the maximum pressure setting of 20 cmHโO with Z-Breathe on level 3 โ meaning most users operating at lower pressures will comfortably complete a full 8-hour night on a single charge with capacity to spare. For multi-night travel, additional Extended Life Battery modules can be purchased separately and hot-swapped into the PowerShell without any tools or cables โ manual swap only, batteries do not run simultaneously. The PowerShell charges the battery automatically whenever the unit is plugged into a wall outlet with the Z1/Z2 AC power supply.
The PowerShell also functions as an automatic home backup โ connect it inline between your Z1/Z2 and the wall outlet and it monitors mains power continuously. If power is interrupted by a storm, blackout, or outage, the PowerShell automatically switches to battery power without waking you or interrupting therapy. FAA approved for in-flight carry-on use. Maximising Runtime
- Use the Z1/Z2 Heat Moisture Exchange (HME) cartridge instead of the integrated humidifier โ humidification significantly reduces battery runtime
- Disable the integrated humidifier when operating on battery power
- Use the lowest clinically effective therapy pressure โ runtime increases significantly at lower pressure settings
